Wanna know something? Trolls are annoying! Yeah it'll happen on about any website you come across. I know HB had trolls on their site and til this day I'm not sure if that was the cause of their site being shut down. Well, it killed me to having to make certain boards on my site members only. Now granted it was just a one time thing but as I've seen on HB and on other popular websites the trolls come back. So to end this little battle and praying that it ends the trolls abusing my site's boards for ruining it for all. I had to put 3 main boards that are frequented alot via members only. If you're a member you can go in and read, or create a topic, or reply to a topic. If this keeps up three more boards will be closed to guests. But I know what you all are gonna say: "you're letting the assholes win." Might be true but I'd like for my members to have a great time without the pain and suffering. By not doing anything I'm letting the bastards win. Does anyone else agree that trolls are a pain in the ass? Well I'm not gonna close my boards to the public because of one isolated incodent. So if you wanna check the site out go ahead do so. If you wanna join the boards and invite all of your friends, then go for it. No problems there but goodness whatever happened to respect others and they will respect you back? But then again a troll could care less.

well I agree, trolls are a real pain. There can be two schools of thought regarding this, but seems no matter what a person does, there will always be some out there who say you're letting them win. I say, if you have one rude obnoxious jerk after another, what's the point? it's one thing if you have one jerk who gets his kicks irritating people once or twice and then goes away, but I see your point. Nobody likes being continually harassed, bullied, etcetera. I don't consider myself a member anymore so it doesn't really affect me, but if I were in the same position, I'd do the same thing. If you close the boards, or make them members only, then the donkeytrolls have no way of getting in to your boards, and can't hassle people. Yes, mean trolls are the worst thing about the net.

Meanness for the sake of meanness is clearly wrong and I wouldn't in any way condone that. aGainst that backdrop, however, one has to realise that whatever is said on a message board is, on many occasions, bound to offend someone. To be honest I think the best idea is not to take anything you read on internet message boards personally, even if the writer of the contribution at issue intends it to be controversial. i haven't seen the so-called 'trolls' on your website, but I'm afraid that the way of the internet is that you'll find content posted from time to time that you really take exception to. You just have to rise above it.

Well funny thing is, guests can read topics but cannot create or reply to topics. The general board however had that option open. Fixed the glitch and hopefully we wont get anymore intruders. But it's a free site it's bound to happen at least once.

Why don't you just ban these eejits, if it was my site they would be told in no uncertain terms "to sling their hooks!".

Look if you want a haven free from a bit of controversy, I( wouldn't look at the internet for that haven if I were you. goblin's right in that you should ban them if they really aree that big a deal, but variety is the spice of life and all that eh? I don't know why I'm contributing to this discussion to be honest, after all I don't even know what the objection relates to! Oh well, you at least have my general views on this discussion.

Well, I guess Blindvi cant' ban them if they're not members to begin with. Sorry this had to happen Blindvi. Your site rocks and it's not fair that people are abusing it. Die evil people die! Lol sorry had to say that. Anyway, sorry this had to happen, and hope things work out for the best! Cheers, and keep up the great site!
